Pros and cons of Oscura app for iPhone and iPad

Oscura app good for

Without a doubt a gorgeous game. Love the dark dude. How refreshing to play something challenging with longevity. More levels one day...?
Short platformer with amazing graphic style. More levels are coming soon apparently. 5 stars for being fun and a little different than anything else on the AppStore.
Great graphics, sound, control. All around a very nicely put together title. The main character is dope and the enemies and traps are sure to keep u coming back for more. If u like limbo u will love this game...downfall being it needs more levels
From the music, graphic and gameplay this game is awesome. I cant wait to see more game from these people.
Dark and beautiful. Cool sound design. Theres only seven levels (for now), but trying to get four stars on all the levels took me a while. Definitely a welcomed challenge. Movement and control is great, and the main character is rad. Bring on the rest!
Only my second review ever written. Love the feel of this game. The controls take a bit of getting used to but do not pose any problem. Game play seems intentionally difficult which adds to the challenge. Perhaps in the updates, our little dark friend should be given new tasks other than just jumping for stars and gears. Please... More levels.

Some bad moments

The look and feel of the game is quite fresh and unique, but unfortunately it just fell flat for me in some areas. The controls can be hard to pick up at first, but you quickly get used to them. The problem is that some of the challenges are much to hard for a game that does not have finely tuned controls like you would find in a console or PC game. You end up dying a ridiculous amount of times in some levels (especially the last one) and it can be outright frustrating. Now, I would partially forgive this if the game had a good plot, except... It completely lacks a plot! Im not sure what the heros goal or feelings are, or how the crisis in the game came to be. All I know is that he needs to "restore light" and that he can stop time. Thats it, and that leaves me incredibly unsatisfied when I complete the game, and almost wanting my money back.
I really want to like this game. Nice look, creepy feel, decent sound and music.....but the awful controls just ruined it for me. There is a LOT of jumping in this game, and the directional control while jumping is sometimes great, often terrible. I gave up after a couple levels. Just too frustrating.
Without any apps runing its crashing on level loading at ipad 1.
But if youre a huge fan of dying over 9000 times per 20 steps then buy and enjoy.
